To me it looks like a later model body plug. Sheldon

    fender tag

I like the custom tag option. 4WDB for instance could denote your braking system etc. Sheldon

G code Challengers... Whats your opinion?

If it was all stock, mint matching #'s I would think twice. Original engine gone = do what you want and make it fun. Sheldon

Hemi VC removal w/ brake booster?

You can have the PB, I personally just don't think it's worth it. I built the valvecovers myself from 69 covers. It's a Stage V intake. I hated the fuel pressure regulator up there, I changed it a couple of times. I ended up with the gauge coming off a t to the front carb with the gauge facing...

Hemi VC removal w/ brake booster?

You could spend $1k or so to get a repro Hemi booster and bracket and still have pull it out of the way to set the valves. I've run manual disc brakes on my last two Hemi swap cars and it's the only way to go. Pedal effort is quite manageable and pedal feel is better than power brakes IMO.

    1970 A-66 Challenger Convertible

I got tired of tearing them up. I made a tool as well from pipe that works great. It makes a big difference. Sheldon

    Automatic to Manual

3.23, 4 speed is a stock combo. I find it nice on the highway but you have to slip the clutch a bit to get it rolling. Sheldon

    Vin and title

It will get you 5 to 10 in most places. Sheldon

    Automatic to Manual

All stock parts so it's an easy swap. The one thing you have to watch is getting a correctly balanced flywheel for the 360 you are using. Sheldon

    A833 challenging to engage reverse

Also check the shifter tabs, quite often the reverse tab hole is elongated. Sheldon

Sure grip or non sure grip?

If the pinion bearings are in good shape there isn't anything to reset other than backlash. Don't even take the pinion out of the case. Make sure the backlash is the same as it was with the open diff though, so you must measure it before taking it apart. Sheldon

1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE Project For Sale (Not Mine)

California car! $10k or $5k buy in doesn't matter much on that one. Sheldon

What would you do? 440 BB Carb

Perfect carb for that setup. It has to be tuned correctly. Sheldon

Do you really ever "need" another?

R/T's are hard to find. There's really nothing to think about IMHO. Alberta rust is much easier to deal with than eastern rust too. Do the deal before Christmas so you both get a nice present. Project values are whatever someone will pay, maybe $6-$8k? Maybe more, it's really hard to say. It...

Yep: It should read Challenger on top and 383 four barrel on the bottom. Sheldon

    Recommendation for Springs

You have a rear sway bar so that must mean you want it to handle somewhat. In that case, biased springs like XHD or Super Stock springs are not the hot setup. So I would suggest new springs like the HD springs which are the same both sides but I would add an extra full length leaf to each of...

    Shaker questions

I did two shaker conversions for Challengers over the last two years. It's an expensive thing to do and it will increase the value of the car a bit less than what the cost is. It will cost you the same to convert a hood (plus labour if you're paying someone) as it will to just buy an AMD hood...

    71 RT resurrection

This car is actually pretty solid. I find a lot of those eastern cars are rusty everywhere, your car is pretty solid but with rusty sheetmetal in localized areas. Sheldon
