I'm trying to get to my ignition switch on a '70 Cuda. I'm having issues with power going to dash lights, road lamps...etc. Every time I turn the key the fuse blows.
I've got the steering wheel off, crush can, turn signal cams but it seems like the locking plate is fixed to the steering...
I have a '70 Cuda 440. So I noticed my instrument panel lights don't work, road lamps, and dome light. Also when checking for a parasitic draw there was a huge draw coming from the ignition/starter power wire off the starter relay. Is it possible these could be related?

I was curious what people's thoughts are on the value or decrease in value of doing modifications. I get it if you have a basic 318 barracuda for example and put in 440, power brakes..etc. But what if you have a U code car with non-numbers matching 440? Would adding a rear spoiler, power disc...
Looking at a cuda - haven't seen it yet, but 1970 B7 440 (E86). Motor is not numbers matching, '68 440. Looks like decent paint and trim. Broken motor mount. 15 year old paint job and underbody. Automatic tranny w/ 3:55 gears.
