I was cruising my '73 Rallye Challenger around town one Saturday. The next Monday at work, my co-worker said he and his 7 year-old boy had seen it and his son said "Dad, look at that one. I bet it's one of those Heckcats!"
Alright! Hope this is a new trend. I love the mean look of the '72-'74 grilles better than the '70-'71, personally. I think it's much more unique and cool looking. Maybe because I see the new Challengers with the '70-'71 appearing grille so much.
DodgeGuy, I hate to tell you this, but I live in Clyde. I attend most all the local car shows, so people will be seeing double if we r at the same show! lol.
I guess I went a little more extreme. 14x7's with 235 front, 15x8 with 275's rear. No clearance problems except I did roll the rear fenders a little to make sure the rears wouldn't rub.
I feel like you too DodgeGuy. I love 'em all. It's always fun to compare engines, options, colors, etc. There's a guy near me with a '73 Barracuda with a giant mural of a knight on horseback on the hood and a wizard with lightning coming out of his fingers all the way down the side. I even...
I take my son to WDC every year on either Friday night or Saturday. Is it better before then? Maybe less congestion. We started when he was 8. Now he's 17 and desperate to someday have his own classic Mopar! I must've done something right. I also go to a classic bicycle swap meet that started...
Thanks DetMatt1. I live near Toledo. If you ever do the Woodward Dream Cruise, let me know. Would love to stop for a minute and say hi to a fellow febo guy when I'm cruisin'!
Watched the latest Graveyard Carz episode. Darn. I've been waiting a long time for them to finally work on a '72-'74 Challenger. I have a '73 Rallye and love it, but I know it's not everyone's favorite kind of e-body. I was hoping they would treat it like other Mopars they restore but I...
Oh yeah, now that's what I'm talking about! I have a '73 in JA5 Dark Silver Metallic. When I saw the color, it just put the hook in me. I had to have it. I love the bright colors too! I love Challengers and Cudas in any color. Nice car!!
Welcome! The '72-'74 Challengers are my faves. You have a really nice one. My '73 is stock but I also would love to have another where I can go ahead and build it up like yours. Have fun with that awesome machine!!
Thanks everyone. Yes, there must be something amiss. I had engine rebuilt last year and obviously, they made an error or changed a part somewhere. I'll really try to investigate it. Thanks again!!!
Never thought I'd have to ask this question but.... When I change the oil in my Challenger with a 340, after I put 3 quarts in it, the dipstick reads full. I know the new filter I'm using is smaller than they use to be and I lose some volume there but it has a stock oil pan and 21" dipstick...
