    4 spd pedal assembly install

Once again to the rescue: rklein71. Thank you! So much of this poor thing is gone all original is out the window. Son wants to make it a road car family project. I just want it running and able to move under it's own power. Haven't driven a 4spd big block in a while. All my RR's 4spd stuff is...

    318 heads. Edelbrock vs Indy/imm

Why be a jerk about this? It would seem we're in agreement but you seem to want to look for a fight. I don't get it. Are we here to help each other, share experience(s), and the like, better the other guys car so they don't embarrass the brand? Or is this site full of trolls that just want to...

    318 heads. Edelbrock vs Indy/imm

Odd, that sounds like what I said... and a B.S. (Barbra Streisand) wasn't really necessary. Exactly! Bigger motor (CID) needs bigger ports and more CFM to work right OR you have to generate more air flow (A.K.A. more RPM) to get results. The trade off with bigger ports and low CID is weak...

    External oil pickup questions

I designed a shutdown system that works off of the oil pressure idiot light switch to kill the car's ignition and, more importantly in the case of a wreck or roll over, the electric fuel pump. Bad enough to wreck the car don't want to wake up in the burn unit too. (see pic) Lost an engine to a...

    4 spd pedal assembly install

Thanks rklein71 and gzig5. This will answer things for all of us even thinking of doing this as this is an empty shell I'm starting with. This was supposed to be a quick deal for the middle child to take back and forth to school. Bought it in Aug and still not even close to assembled; much less...

    Spark plug wire routing diagram

Does it have to be OEM or just work and look like somebody spent a few brain cells in making them? Here's what I did reshaping the Moroso BB Chebbie holders (see Pic)

    318 heads. Edelbrock vs Indy/imm

Bare in mind 340-360 intake runners will need more 318 engine RPM to work properly. IMO get/make a bigger engine. You don't put B1 heads on a 383 or even a 440 without planning on spinning it to 7500-8000+ RPM. Eddys are better suited for that level of CFM and RPM. Go 500 inch and it needs more...

    External oil pickup questions

Something else to think about: external line don't like start up. They typically run with no to low oil pressure on start up for a few seconds. I've tried the 'put a curve in the line(s) to trap oil next to the pump' with no luck. I've reached the point where I'm working on an electric priming...

    4 spd pedal assembly install

Need info on installing a clutch pedal assembly where one never was. Car is a 74 Challenger 318 904 a nothing special here car. Currently a big empty shell. Clutch bell crank support already welded to frame rail. When purchased was being made in to a drag car destined for a 440 4 spd. As in...

    New project; new member

Been associated with For A bodies' for years. New project has brought me here. Dealing with a stripped out 74 Challenger that was headed for race car status. Some things done to it were/are scary and will have to be dealt with. Basically I have a hull, some parts, lots of mods and the goal is to...
