Engine 11.jpg

My 1973 Challenger

Originally a 318/904 car, now a stroked 440 (493).

General Description

I am very close to finishing it but have stopped at doing the vinyl top install by myself, will get over that soon. It is F8 green, all suspension, brakes, electrics have been rebuilt or replaced. The interior has new seat foam, vinyl, carpet.
The engine was from a 1978 motorhome with very low miles so only a slight overbore of .005 and a crank out to 4.15. It has Program Engineering 4 bolt billet mains, external oiling, a solid roller cam and T&D rocker gear, a Milodon gear drive.
The heads are Indy -1 with Max Wedge ports with a cross ram manifold, exhaust is all TTI, starting with 2 1/8 stepped primary pipes into 3 1/2 inch collectors then 3 inch out the back.
