I'm considering running tires with 275x35x18 (front/rear) primarily to get 200 tread wear ratings.. for competition autocross/road course events. My T/A is all setup for such events and I have 16x10 rims with Hoosier A6 275x45x16 tires (old and now corded.. to be replaced), but at issue is the available choices of tires in a 200 treadwear rating (as per various club's rule limits). Who's running 18"rims? Front sizes? Rear sizes? Backspacings or offsets? My fender lips are pulled and flushed (allowed per rules). Any replies will be appreciated. Lightweight is also a factor, but cannot be for drag racing... must be strong. T/Anks ahead!

I got 18x9,5" ARE Daytona rims with 5" backspace on the back of my 72 with 275/40 Z rated tyres , no rolled lips and no clearance issues .
Fronts are 17x8" with 245/40 Z rated rubber, still no issues....... but holy **** it makes a big impact on handling and grip :)
