How do we tell 1970 E body hood hinges apart from other years?
Are shaker hood hinges or springs different from the other steel hoods? Thanks in advance

I believe the 1970 top bar is 1 1/8” and used 5/16” bolts.
1971+ top bar 1 3/8” and used 3/8” bolts in addition to the other stuff mentioned.

I have a 71 Cuda with an AMD shaker hood. The original hood springs offered too much resistance, and it seemed like the hood was going to bend at the hinge. I then bought the fiberglass hood springs but they wouldn't open the hood far enough. I now have Camaro 210 springs which seem to be the right amount of force to open and close. I don't know if they would be doable on 70 hinges.
