I recently purchased my 72 Challenger which has a Non rallye dash gauge. I've been looking thru manuals and the internet. I can't seem to find what the red light in the dash means, just below the fuel gauge. Is this a low fuel warning light?
Also is there a high beam indicator light?
Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if it was the high beam indicator but it didn't light up. I recently removed the fuel pump changing out the timing chain cover and chain also installing a new harmonic balancer. When i put it all back, the light came on. A bit of the fuel had come out when the pump was off so I thought it was a low fuel light.

There must be a short. I just checked it. With the high beams on or off it still stays on and flickers.

Maybe a bad high beam floor switch. There cheap enough to buy a replacement. Light should be off when low beams are on and then when high are switched on it should be solid.
