1973 Cuda did sun visor always hit the mirror

Question : Did the sun visor always hit the mirror in the 1973 cuda when you put them down?
I not sure what year they put the cut out in the visor?

I thought they put the cut out on 70-71. Not sure why they changed the visors after that?

Both my 70 Cudas had the cut out on the sunvisors. They would still hit the mirror if it was pushed to one side or the other. That long stem with a ball swivel on both ends would let the mirror move around a lot.

on 73 cuda the visors dont attach to the mirror,so no should not hit the mirror.

They do on my ‘73 Challenger. Both the visors and mirror are original.
Thought I was losing my mind when I put it all back together.

I retract my previous statement after double checking. Hahaha. Make sure the mirror rod is adjusted to clear both.

The visors were changed to save Chrysler money. The 72 up visors were also used in other cars. 70 & 71 were Ebody only.

Thanks for the info guys. 73 machine good photo mine does touch on the passenger side but if I keep the mirror pushed over the driver clears.
