Have a nice set of gears that I removed from my 73 Rally Challenger's 489 rear diff to install some 3:23 gears. (Just got tired of the low gears and want to do more highway driving.) The pinion shaft is a 29-spline type. These are likely original to the car and they were very quiet running down the road. I am selling because I don't see myself ever switching back to a set of gears this low. I am not a gear "expert" but these have very little wear present (IMHO the ring gear looks nearly new to me.)

(NOTE: I will also be posting a complete 489 casing third member for sale soon with a nearly new set of Dr. Diff 3:23 gears that were installed by a local shop. The "mechanic" failed to properly peen or lock-tite the yoke nut (maybe didn't even torque it properly?) onto the pinion shaft and it became loose while driving down the road after just a few hundred miles (made interesting noises too.) The unit was running quietly until the nut started to back-off. So, I simply decided to change($$) out the entire third member with a unit built by Cass at Dr Diff. If someone is interested in buying both my third member and this set of 3:91 gears, I would reduce total price somewhat.)
