Factory 4bbl base. 340 and 440 are the same height. For 340, you will need to add bracket for base support straps.
Full disclosure, someone drilled two1/4" holes to use a six bbl size lid. The center stud hold down bracket was rewelded, as the original resistance spot welds are prone to failure.
I closed them up, but show them before and after. And with a little black paint.
With the popularity of powder coating, I'll leave that for to you to decide, powder or paint.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
$650 and shipping

That appears to be a 383 baseplate. The stamped hole in the raised round boss at the front is unique to 383s and usually indicates that a factory original part. Later NOS 383 bases dropped the stamped hole.

Here’s a reference to help confirm what base you have:

Engine Part# Throat Depth*

1970 340 - 3512765 - 1 ¾”
1971 340 - 3512764 - 1 ½”
383 - 3462485 - 2”
440-4 - 3462484 - 1 ½”

* Measured from bottom the carb stud bridge to the bottom of throat base.

Yes, I'm aware of the hole, throwing off the i.d. as 383.
1.5" throat depth, to the underside of the carb hold down. Throat depth is the same as my 71 340 base.
This has the 70 style carb bridge.
So I will leave it to the buyer to determine use.
383 with a high rise? Add feet for 340 supports?
Plug hole for 440?
I've seen bases (original?) with plugs online.
