3438806 50 A alternator. I believe it to be NOS, except for the pulley. I bought some years ago without a pulley installed. I intended to part out for restoring other alternators but just didn't. I recently pressed on a pulley and it tests fine.
I am not 100% sure on the dates for the square back alternators. I am basing my assumption that the dating is similar to the older alternators.
This part number alternator was substituted on some late model 71 cars based on the service bulletin below. If my assumption on the date is correct, this one is dated too late for OE use on a 1971.
