Hey guys,

Looking to take my 1970 318 with A-230 trans and switch to an A-833 4 speed. besides the cost of the new transmission Im wonder what the other expect cost and parts ill need to complete this. Such as shifting linkage and possibly drive shaft issues?

Thanks for you help in advance,

Shift rods and shifter mechanism, handle. May need the different adapter plate for the shifter mechanism Pistol grip 4 speed I assume? I'm not sure about the front bearing retainer size between the two transmissions. That may determine the bell housing you use if they are not the same size unless you can use the same bearing retainer size.

Length and yoke spline count of DS should be verified.
