I would think this is the 413 large truck /motor home motor (like 6pac stated) (RB), they are pretty common. I actually had one I put in a B-Body.
76 - You can overbore the 413 and put in 440 pistons, however there will be concerns on the thickness of the block. Just a thought, use some closed chamber and/or milled heads to gain a bit of compression. Probably lot cheaper unless you are really looking to rebuild. Then I would just find a 440 core and start from there. 915 or 516 heads shaved will help out a bit (Assumption is you have a 346/452/or 906 which is about 88cc) 915/516's are about 78, shaved and thin gaskets you can get a bit more power.
Sorry, the reason I was stating this, is the 413 pistons are expensive and hard to find decent ones. Where as this route, you get a little more without tearing down the bottom end. I would recommend a compression and leak down test. Compression test will tell you about what you have *roughly* along with the general health of the engine. Leak down will tell you if you have problems and need a rebuild. However keep in mind on a leak down, issue may not be rings/wear, it may be bad heads.
Oh - and if you go with the heads, you can match a cam to get better a better combo.
