Actually, I believe that the short block is the only replacement assembly. The heads and intake(4 bbl I'm keeping) are dated 1970 as marked on the forward face. Engine was running when I acquired but it was a smoker, seriously a mosquito killer and it still rotates & needs reuilt. If you don't have the original engine for your car this is probably the next best. I have a variety of heads(that aren't inventoried) if you need a better date.
This engine would be acceptable and correct for ANY car covered by the 5 & 50 warranty manufactured after 11/66 and I would surmise up to early 73 maybe later. I have another that is 69 cast date that needs repair that was S stamped by the replacement mechanic, as they were s'posed to do that, as near as I can tell, was assembled & replaced in 72.
