So looking at this 72 Challenger this person has - Im not sure about what was - or what should be? with a large scoup Hood?
I see google search some companies with REPO - some Factory pictures of T/A and AAR - This Hood looks like 6 pack lift off REPO hood ?

Yes, it is a copy of B Body 69-1/2 A12 scoop. It was never an E Body option, but alot of drag cars seem to use them over the years. I have seen the car listed for sale also, for quite a while now it seems. If you go look at it tell me what you thought of it or if you buy it, tells us all here. Good luck.

An B body copy -
( I thought the scoup looked too big for E body )
I see they sell Repo fiberglass hood's for the Challenger -

Is it common to have the hood pins located in the Hood Hinges like
you see here?
2 pins in the hinge, 1 up front each side.

found the car on Facebook few weeks ago - its kinda all over the place - far from factory stock -Did not have him start the motor or drive it for I only am concerned about the body - what would need replaced.

what I have seen that should be replaced - If I was to purchase as a Project -
hard to say without up on a lift or raised for inspection of all-
some of the main parts - lots of Misc needed not listed here.

1)both full rear quarters ( heavy bondo )
2)possibly the roof? Heavy caulk between glass/chrome + heavy bondo
3)full trunk pan with both extentions
4)would not know about the wheel wells until stripped to metal
a patch for sure at bottom's
5)pulling back carpet - probably full floor's appears to have home made patch.
6)Hood + hinges - maybe only springs added?
7)front grille with all related
8)lower fender's - lower door's patch ( or replace all )
9)both bumpers
10) front wheels/tires
11) add Power Disk brakes - all brake lines
12)needs gas tank with new lines
13)complete 100% interior including bucket seats
14)needs Heater Core + related cables
15)needs new Dash + wiring
16)needs floor shifter
17)both valance's with lights
18)all side lights + wiring
19)bottom rear frames need large patch's ( they are open/torn ) where the
holes should be -
20)shocks/front end parts ( could not get under to see - sitting too low )

is a 72 chally even worth this as a project? Listed price $13k
his claim rebuilt motor/trans = a few years ago???

No fender Tag No build sheet

*A BIG RED FLAG = Clear Title in owners name says 71
Vin# + body #s are 72

Don't know how that could even happen?
with all the cars I have owned - I never ran into that before???

I have expained he will need to get Title re-done Proper into 72 -

running driving all working - then maybe price at $7 - 8k
