Would like a good usable setup. Bell housing and fork, flywheel to fit a big block 440 for 4 speed P/N 2892513

Since it's a part that's also used on 383 and Hemi, those bells are getting tough to find and pretty pricey.

Define "good, usable". I mean, I've got a good usable bellhousing but there's a small piece missing near the starter, in a non-stressed area. It was like that when I got it; it was probably dropped at some point. It'll work perfectly, it just won't win any beauty awards. All the holes are there, and all the threads are good (main transmission bolt holes are Heli-Coiled--stronger than original). It's been bead-blasted. The fork pivot is present but I haven't got the inspection cover or fork. The damage could be fixed with a TIG welder and a sacrificial LA (or possibly even /6) bellhousing. It all depends on your value of form as opposed to function. A really nice bare bell commands $400+ without the inspection cover. I'm asking $175 OBO plus shipping.

FYI, the flywheel is the same as a 318 as long as your 440 is neutral balance. The '70-up B, RB, and Hemi all used the 10.5"/10.95" clutch pattern and 130 tooth ring gear. A cheap one (essentially OE quality) is available from RockAuto; pricier billet SFI ones are everywhere. I believe Brewer's offers a new fork and boot, both of which are the same as the '70-up B/E small-block parts.

Thanks NoCar340. I made an offer to a guy on the B-body forum yesterday and he was to see what shipping is to LA. IF its too pricy I will get back to you as yours will be good for my use it appears. Can you post a pic of the missing piece.

Thanks
B

Sure. Here's a few, showing both the overall bell and the broken area. It's very small. The dark area in the upper RH corner of the transmission flange is just dirt; it's been sitting quite awhile.

The same area on an unbroken 2892513, just to illustrate how small the damage really is:

I just noticed (and remembered) that I removed the fork pivot. I still have it, and it goes with the bell.
