Hi, I need information or a picture of the gasket placement on a 90 degree adapter for a 340 block . I have 3 gaskets 1 large which is obvious and 1 fiber which i think goes under the large bolt and 1 cork which I do not know . I have been told everyting from throw it away to it goes into the housing and the bolt passes thru it. Can anyone help ? Thanks

You first take the oil filter mounting plate off of the block. The cork gasket now goes between the the new oil filter adapter and the filter mount . The other 2 gaskets are obvious in their installation.

My large gasket has 3legs that go to the center where it is attached to a smaller gasket that the bolt passes thru. Do I still use the cork? 031.jpg

The center of that gasket is supposed to eliminate the cork gasket, but sometimes is too thin. Use gasket sealer on the block side. Tighten to about 50 ftlbs.
