Barracuda Convertible price question?

New to the group and thanks for the add.
I have the opportunity to purchase a 70 Barracuda Convertible. Question for the group is what is it worth? The owner is unsure and I'd like a good guestimate of its value.
The good: It is a 70 E-body Convertible and is complete minus drive train.
The Bad, it's a 6 cyl and is missing the drive train, the ONLY good Sheetmetal on the car is trunk drip rails and outer rockers. Everything else would need replacement to include frame rails both front/rear and the car has been disassembled to include removal of all floor pans, trunk pan, and inner fenders.
I don't have pics but a good start for a purchase price would be appreciated. Thanks

If pretty much all the sheet metal is rusted out, and it has no drive train, and it doesn't have the VIN numbers for a desirable engine, then its just an empty shell. A project car in search of someone with deep pockets. I concur with MoparMitch, at most $1500. +$500 if it had/has nice options (like rear window defrost, or rear window louvers, ha ha) and all the parts are still there. -$500 if it's stripped of chrome trim, interior seating and panels, or missing window glass.

The vert parts are $$$ if all there. Lots of unique parts. I’ve seen parts lots offered in the $7-10k range of the unique parts to clone a hardtop into a vert.

- top assembly
- stainless top trim at well
- rear seat with track for boot
- boot with clips
- rear interior panels ($$$$$$)
- door brass bumpers
- rear wheel well caps
- pump support
- windshield header
- windshield trim in/out
- mirror
- power top switch and cluster piece
- window glass (doors & quarters)

I think its a good thing that it is only a /6 because the price would start much higher than someone may want to pay. Look up the cost of body panels etc. that you know you need and base your offer off of that.
