Yes I do. We have had the car since June of last year. we still haven’t paid for title transfer. We paid 10000 dollars during time when no challengers was for sell on internet. There is one coat primer underneath inside out all over the car much labor was placed into it to hide the car I sometimes believe.. a 1968 440 hp motor block with the car no main caps came with it so it’s at the machine shop being line bored 040 over terrible to okay condition parts from seats to a variety different smalls a steering column ac box came. Why we are stressed out? It has been sandblasted inside the car a black cover dash has been placed over a dash. The dash frame has a bolt missing from it showing signs it’s been taken out of the car. The dash frame has solid rust with a blue dash cut up and barely noticeable. The vin is the same vin on the title... red exterior and blue interior is a rare color combo I believe. It doesn’t have fender tag.

Why wasn’t the dash frame sand blasted I don’t know why why isn’t the dash cover cut up from sand blasting I don’t know why taken off before why the dash frame where it’s so much rust at with faint traces of blue was concealed.. I bought this it was presented red with black interior we drove 12 hours to get the car in June... it had to have been out of the car sometime when a lot of work was being placed on it... a bolt is missing and it shows a lot of age by a rusted out thread hole where a bolt is suppose to be holding the dash frame up. Any analyst can look at this car in a investigation and tell there a higher percentage of suspicious activities around it compared to the usual car for 10000 dollars.. if it was a lot cheaper I wouldn’t be doing this....

Dash pad blue foaming in microscopic Examination will show the rust seated around it was never just glued on for some reason.. I don’t know I have been sitting pondering about it since June. it’s been there since the birth of the car 50 years ago possibly but still with a third party affiliation worriy with my name on it a decade from now someone might say I and dad did this in our little out back shop with our tools framing us... something happened over the decades with this car I believe:

how do you work on a car like this is hard decision making negative thoughts of trying to scheme conceal work around it it’s poor business eithics to start this project without being investigated ourselves

Before I bought my Cuda vert, I was looking at another cuda vert and it actually had 3 different VINs on it, which I believe is illegal. But the stamped cowl VIN was different than the radiator support, and both of those were different than the dash & door VIN. Needless to say, I ran from it. Mostly because the owner said the firewall, floor pans, quarters, trunk pan, and inner fenderwells were all replaced. I saw it a few years later on Barrett-Jackson sell there.

that’s why it’s best for the community to know before we begin to work on it...................... so our texts calls cyber land of information meaning buying off google eBay new amd components can be looked at on a iron foundation of photography of each replacement before we begin...

Yea I listened about the cuda vert thats what we have come to realize also in another subject of seeing vin tags for sell on the internet. a disgrace to the market is micro inflation of distrust within macroeconomic of the wide spectrum of one particular market with the global market. Legal restamping on eBay show Basis atleast 1 out of ten is selling their car 15000 dollars higher on a restamp birthed by a business that keeps their name cleared from out back porch re stamping when no one sees it... it helps the buyer cope when other do it watchers especially fuel that market........ it’s Borderlining the real stuff making it not never increase by the psychological trust isn’t there for for future gens to continue uping the price... we need better security stamps being invented at dodge Chevy and ford.. I love scarred beat up stamps like the 340 carb list stamp I have that stamp to me is worth more than one smoothed by a die grinder pad..

Without body vin #its kinda spooky to spend what it takes to restore one of these cars.Might be better off to resale as parts or race car and perdue something more liget

If you want the car to enjoy yourself, then build it. If you are building it to flip it move on; the "investors" out there will ***** and whine about the number issue and use it to try and devalue the car.

As far as I know, there are no documented red exterior cars with blue interiors. I don't believe you could have ordered that combination through mopar back then. Maybe someone can prove me wrong, please. pretty please. proof please.
Otherwise, there is no red with blue interior. That car was most likely originally Blue.

I see as a trail of tears it’s spooky-unknown car(trail of tears I don’t know where it’s been I mean) with a known car I sometimes believe. I want to call it a dual contender where 440 six pack goes on a six pack hood or a rallye hood bulge dual power or so.

Beware do homework before going into the muscle car field know what to look for prior to purchasing a project car or this might happened to you. I bought this from Dave’s classic cars in June of last year. I’m mad at his presentation of the car but madder at myself for not researching before the information I need to look for. I know something was covered up during the decades. Literally a cover was covering a rather strange psychological activity I’ll question now why would anyone glue a cover on top of old foam and rust??????

I know this dash frame has been outside the car........ the other side of it where the inner cowl is has been PRIMERED! Beware know what to look for before you build a very very suspicious project car... Thats full of omens that puts stress on your family and you for long periods of time.

I would tend to agree, however if someone wanted one bad enough I am pretty sure they could have gotten it at a price. My buddy once bought a 72 or 3 Challenger that was factory black with a dark green interior. I have no idea if this was a normal choice but it sure was ugly... lol

Since I grew up working on Mopars I have done pretty well buying cars over the years because I am familiar with them and know what to look at/for, however I once bought an Audi A5 for my son and got completely raped. I was so pissed at myself because I knew better, worst car deal I ever made...

I tend to agree also with your respond to cudahunter. it’s a possibly i believe it was blue from factory but by god it’s got so much suspicious activity to it I can’t prove it. Glueing a cover ontop of rust makes me think it was rushed project to move quickly by a bunch of amateur thinkers in thief or concealing it..... they way they operated tells me it’s before the person I purchased it from... its to immature to not have been known or atleast halted by now if this happened many many times with old cars...

Well this is one of those "things", if it was indeed a red car with a blue interior it would definitely be "odd". But here's the rub, what does it matter? The color combination has zero value unless you have the fender tag and/or broadcast sheet. Even if you had one or both, all it would do is make it "interesting"; you could argue it increases the value but that remains to be seen. Without either the tag or sheet there is absolutely no way to determine what the original interior color was because nothing was color coded (painted) to match the interior and all E body interiors are interchangeable and it was exceptionally common to pull an interior from a parts car and put it into your car.

I don't know you or your car but my "gut" would say that it is highly unlikely a red car came with a blue interior, not impossible but not probable. If it was made like that I bet it sat on a lot for a long time as that is not a color combination that "pops". I have owned something like 11 E bodies over the years, been around them since the mid 1970s and was very attuned to them as they have always been my favorite and I have never seen a red car with anything other than a red, white or black interior. Again, not impossible but I would have to see a documented version before I believed it.

Yea it pretty much ruins emotions for months and months what I’ve done found out. And while I don’t like the guy I bought this car from I was willing to try and get a 1974 purple or brown cuda L code he has in his shop. We called January to buy it asking for a price decrease 14500 he wouldnt take any thing less than 16000 even thou he knows he did us wrong.
