Need a answer to this question.

What was the stock carb for a 1971 Challenger 340 4 speed. I need to know carb type and size. I say carb size was 850 but customer says 650. Customer isn't always right.

The ratings on TQ carbs has always been in question but for the most part, the smaller one is considered to be around 850 cfm on all 71 340 cars. The customer is wrong on this one.

The customer would be right, I believe, if it was an AVS car. But it's not. 850 should win the prize.

I do not have a reference here but I believe the TQ started in 72 after they killed the compression unfortunatly , so I believe it was still the 650 AVS in 71
