Well around 10k id find something decent around.here wont be long now till i have that though.

The 73 is gone now though will post pics of it if interested later when i get home.

The AAR cuda was being restored and it is not in bad shape and it is real do you know what the value is on an AAR Cuda?

A member here was looking at it he was searching for his dads old AAR and I thought maybe this one could be it, it wasnt but he was going to look at it until the guy put it on ebay.

I'm not sure what you are looking to do other then a major project and I'm telling you to find a car done. If you don't have the funds right now take out a loan and pay it as you go to get what you really want it will be cheaper in the long run and if you have to sell it you should get your money back.

If you have to pay for the work man its going to be crazy money on it.

There is a 71 Challenger with a 383 on ebay no reserve as well.

Oh man adding tools already onto the cost of a car and a running driving car at that.......Have you thought about a Duster or a Dart maybe a Dart sport?

I like the big block and small block cars and as of right now I'm leaning to A body cars because you can find so many still at a good price. I'm looking at a 73 Duster slant six with 3 on the tree, so cool to see that, but I will drop a small block in it.

If the deal I have going right now for my Vette and this Duster I will have enough to put a small block in it and drive it.

How much experince do you have at cutting and welding? I know it looks easy and tv shows make it seem so straight forward and easy to do but it is not.

Welding and welding in these replacement panels each one is a different thickness to deal with you could burn through a panel and warping it and blowing holes in it.

Do you have an auto body class like at a Vocations school in your area? If so I would take the class or find an old timmer to teach you some body work. There are so many shops that think bondo is great and fills in things that shouldnt be, sure looks good for a little while (unless its a really hot day or a really wet day) and then after a while it starts to bubble and then you got more rot then a panel.

I can find you cars I have a gift at finding some rare to not so rare cars. I even have it with parts. I always stumble across something.

I say keep saving get to 10-15 thousand range.

My dad can weld very well and has done quarters floors roofs and trunks on challengers before. He's going to be helping me. All of which came out very good. Esp the 71 SE/RT he had. Its too bad that car got cut up, would have been a great car to return to stock.

And when the car is done it doesnt matter how much it costs. Though i would like to finish it in my dads lifetime and while he still has enough oomf to help with it.

I wanted to add to if you find a car with some good parts on it and you plan to change it out to what ever keep the good parts and sell off. Like if it has good quarters and you are going to change them, save them and sell. If you can sand it down and find the welds for the tail panel and can cut it out, save and sell. The front clip same thing sell it unless the flat hood works for all years and you're making a shaker hood.

Here is one to keep your eye on and see where it goes in bidding and drop a bid at the last minute. The car looks clean and it is a 72.

This one is a buy it now price of $1350 and you got enough money to have it shipped and start fixing it. I wouldnt think it would be over 1000 to ship this car.

I found a 70 Challenger R/T for 33 thousand in my area.

I think when you get to ten thousand and save some more you will soon be close to what you can buy a complete running Barracuda/Cuda and a 70-71 Challenger, maybe not an R/T but one that all you need to do is change the hood and you have a clone.

I just sold my Vette the guy gave me a deposit and signed a bill of sale and will be back tomorrow for the car. I hope to find a MOPAR and not a project.

Keep saving and buy something running and not a big project you will be miles a head.
