Converting to a console shift....need help

Since my Challenger didn't come with one originally how do I determine where the console needs to be mounted? The part that supports the linkage that goes through the floor was simple enough, I need help with the measurements from where the mount through the floor is to the shifter. Thanks for the help!!

I ended up putting just the top portion of the console on and finding out where it should go and tacked it in place.
