Dash Voltage limiter question

My gas, temp and oil gauges don't work. I'm in the process of installing a "new" Rallye cluster. I got frustrated and walked away and when I go back I will put a ground lead onto the voltage limiter just in case to check that out.

While I doubt that I did..... is it possible to burn it up if the leads are mixed up ? I do have 12 volts going to it, but a circuit tester shows nothing on the opposite end. Its the new style with only 2 spades.

Thanks for responding but that limiter is different than the one I'm using. Mine only has 2 spades, one female and one male.

That limiter Moparleo showed you has only two spades, look closely the 'other' connection you think you can see is not part of the limiter.
Anyway they're all crap, have a look on Moparts for the link to make your own electronic one with parts from Radio Shack or whatever they're called theses days for about 5 bucks :)
