I have a rallye dash in my 71 BHG, with a standard 3-light bar. No way I am going to spend several hundred bucks for a rallye light bar. I would like to modify mine to have four lights. Does anyone have both of them and can take a picture side by side so I can compare the differences?

I don't have them side by side but this may help.

Looks like to me a resourceful person can modify a standard light bar to function as well as a rallye one. Thanks

You do need the extra light provided by the Rallye bar. I swapped over to the rally instrument cluster before I had the Rallye light bar and could barely see it with the non-Rallye.

I honestly haven't drove it at night yet, that needs to change.

My 2 cents worth, the lights need to be entered over the 4 pods, I'm not sure the lights in a non rally can be centered properly as Matt said without the lights aligned over the 4 pods of the rally cluster it's very dark.

I agree if a person is willing to invest some time that the light bulb sockets on a non rallye dash could probably be shifted with some cutting of new opening and some sheet metal and another socket added to get the bulbs centered over the rallye dash gauge pods. Just an idea.

I agree with @704406 that the lights need to be centered for it to work as designed, however I can say that I've had Ebodies that had a non rally light bar but a rally instrument cluster and honestly never really noticed an issue (perhaps young eyes).

You probably could use 2 3 hole bars to make 1 4 hole bar but redoing one is going to take some effort.
