I wasn't aware of the carpet issues either until I switched mine. After opening the box I started ranting online about "incorrect" reproduction parts and got a bunch of responses from guys asking WTF I was talking about, stating that the partial ribbed heel pad was correct, and suggesting that I probably had some old aftermarket carpet in mine. Hence, I now always get excited when I come across another owner of an early-build Cuda that has some evidence to support my claim. That's why I asked as soon as I saw that you had a "B" built car with a sequence number beginning 116.

BS23N0B car, Cuda 383 hardtop with 4-speed. Has the performance axle and max cooling packages, so is equipped with a 3.91 sure grip 8-3/4 and originally had Hemi leaf springs. Still has the original 956 26" radiator that was used in the Hemi cars. Originally FY1, Lemon Twist yellow, with a black vinyl top, but currently wearing a scaley/flaking flat black finish.
