Don't take away my AM radio

I heard somewhere they were trying to take away AM radio??? My E-body only came with AM. This would be a disaster. Any opinions on this?

Due to electric vehicle production, the electric motors, batteries and circuits that power EVs create interference unless there is extra (and costly) sheathing to allow reception of the AM radio signal. Some new models and makers are building vehicles without analog AM radio. Nationally there is a lot of resistance to eliminating AM broadcasts
