driver's side trim ,trying to install trim piece on my '71 challenger--original piece. there must be some sot of bracket that attaches to this boss--

follow up from post there must be some sot of bracket to attach to this boss--there is nothing for the side screw to go into and on the trim upper left, there is nothing to screw to
 
Maybe someone can elaborate on what attaches to this location. It looks like the dashpad's metal frame should attach there and then is covered by the plastic trim piece.

Go to 1:44 and again at 1:50.
 
thanks. clears up the problem---the "new" dash pad, guaranteed to fit does not have the attachments and there is a large gap between dash pad and trim piece
 
Post a pic of your trim piece. It may be the wrong year for your car.
 
Take a pic of your trim where it is not fitting the dash. Take a pic from the side. We can figure it out if we can see it.

missing the screw clips and as you can see it is a flawed piece--original trim---sent pic and email to classic ind., yet to hear from them. passenger side is a very good fit. the tim piece is in the correct position
