I was reading an article in a mag about a 1971 Challenger. They mentioned that being an early build they needed to find "early" style fenders. They said the parts book shows all 1971 Challengers receiving the 1970 "15" wheel" fenders. So how would one determine which fenders he has? Or is this even valid? I presume a part number but can anyone educate me on the differences? My car is an October 23rd build so I suspect there may even be a few other left over 1970 parts that were on it. I'm trying to get pics from pre-parting out to see about this.
Thanx for any info..........

Well, I'm not pretending to be one of those who know, but here's some info if you don't already have it.

It seems that the '70 model year had two different fenders depending on tire size, with F60 x 15's (#3579380-1), or without F60 x 15's (#3419878-9). If it was a T/A, then there seems to be a third fender available (#3579624-5).

The '71's only show one fender (#3579380-1), with F60 x 15's.

Good info, thank you guys. Is there any visual difference in the fenders? There must be somehting that varies.
