I drove the Cuda to Albion Pa for an All Mopar show this past Sunday. I had my buddy Jay cruising with me in his 71 Cuda 340 3 speed. Our drive was mostly 2 lane roads 55 mph. The 90 mile drive was very relaxing and enjoyable. Got to the show and registered about 10 am. It was a little chilly with a nice breeze. I entered the 71 and older modified class and Jay E-body stock. Had a lot of people make nice comments and enjoyed meeting new friends. At the end of the day I won 1st place and Jay 3rd. The cars both ran flawless on the way home. A perfect ending to a perfect day.

Yes it's not unusual for people to look at you weird when you say "I drove it" I've had comments like "What if it rains?" I always respond windshield wipers were not optional equipment in 1970!! Now I don't enjoy driving the interstate in old cars because assholes have to mess with you. They either ride up beside you and play games or cut right in front of you passing which pisses me off to no end!! One of the reasons we drove Rt 19 instead of Rt 79. The drive was really nice.

In my youth when they were just cars I drove a 69 Charger RT 440 4 speed , a 71 Barracuda , 72 340 4 speed Duster , a 74 Challenger , and a 74 Barracuda in the winter. You learn HOW to drive in the snow OR you get stuck a lot!!! I never wrecked or banged up one of my cars.
