hey everyone, i will be getting a Tremec TKO 5 speed. my 70 challenger currently has a 8.75 rear end with 3.23 gears. With that gearing, it seems the 5 speed overdrive will be pointless as i'm told the shifts will be "1st 19.01 2nd 31.40 3rd 46.40 4th 62.17 5th 91.43." the gear calculators say that 3.73 gears would make it 16.49/27.24/40.25/53.93/79.31. which will seem to give me that punch off the line and great cruising RPM's too. does it sound right? anyone have a similar setup? any suggestions?

thanks in advanced.

I have a Tremec 5 speed in my Cuda 340 with 323 gears. I’m past beating my car or racing so the pickup is ok for me. But if you plan on doing and long trips, cruising at 70 mph is no problem at all!

I have 4:10 with my Tremec. I love it 512 stroker 540 HP . Will break my 31x18.5 tires loose in 2nd gear and also cruise at 70 at less than 2000rpms

I have Tremec 5 speed with Dana 354 gears, 28" tires and turn 2000 at 70 mph.

Using a Tremec 6 magnum with a 3.55 going to 4.56 never used 6th gear .
wound the 416 stroker up last week 65 mph 6,000 rpm in second & still pulling it happened so quick will have to set my limiter down a bit
