hood springs

I am switching from a glass hood to a factory steel R/T hood.how many coils should the hinges have ?

I counted 19. use a floor jack to install washer to install.

I have two sets of hinges one with 19 ? one with 22 ? I know the the 19 coil ones came off a 1970 flat hood car.

Used the same springs from my flat hood when I went to a steel r/t hood and works fine!

The original hood to my car is a power bulge. maybe it matters or it doesn't. might be a year to year thing. some one out there maybe able to answer that. my car build date is 11-70. hope this helps.

Thanks for he feed back. The car I am doing at this time is a L A plant Sept.1970 build if that matters. the one think i know about MOPAR is for certain notting is for certain.

Hamtramck build 11-70 . some hoods had a crumple zone.that might have something to do with coil count?
