How can you tell rally rim size?

I just picked up a fourth Rally Rim I was needing but by the valve stem it`s stamped 15 with a # of 3580068 is that a part # or a date code? Did I just buy a 15" rim? I had wanted a 14" rim the tire on this rim is a G-70 - 14 can you squeeze a 14" tire onto a 15" rim?One of the rims I already had has a 14 with a # of 3580058 stamped next to the valve stem I can`t make out #`s on the other two rims I have.

Take a ruler and lay it acrossed the diameter of the wheels(not including the tire), or read it on the tire, no you can't put a 14 on 15....you can put a 15 on a 14 but it won't hold air......I don't know about the stamping I am in Florida and can't get to the barn in Pa.

Ok should be a 14" rim since that is what the tire on it is.I got confused seeing that 15 stamped by the valve stem.
