I bought this 70 challenger last year, and I was just curious if anybody knows anything about it. The previous owner owned it since the early 90s. At the time he bought it I think he was living in Chicago. He said he found the car in a magazine/newspaper and it had just been painted yellow and had a 318 auto put in. It was originally a go mango deputy, 225 slant 6, 3 speed on the floor. Now it has a 440 in it. It had all of the r/t stuff put on by the guy he bought it from, except for the stripes and badges, which he did himself. Also the hood and interior is from a 72-74. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Wow@ JH23C0E101683 sure is an early build! Nice to see an early build car.
Definitely one of the better colors! EK2
September 2nd 1969 production
bucket seats , being it's only added option
nitrous oxide emissions

There is no A93 on the fender tag. Deputy cars came with A93 on the tag.
Can anyone out there confirm that the coupe package always had A93 on the tag?
I have a 71 barracuda with A93.

I noticed the VIN Tag rivets seem to look smooth and not original. Does the cowl and radiator support have the last 6 of the VIN? May have been removed and reattached after the renovation ?

Yes it does match, but somebody put a newer a/c dash in it at one point so they swapped the vin over

I thought it said in the book I have when I decoded the data plate it was a deputy but I could be wrong.

OH! I didn't even notice that this is a radio delete car!
Would be nice to see that on the build sheet.

Not many radio delete cars.

Technically there is not a radio delete. All radios were an option. To have a delete you must delete standard equipment. No radio is because one simply wasn't ordered.
