I am looking for some info on these lower control arm bushings. The standard bushing Moog K791 is considerably shorter than the Prothane 4-205-BL. The pivot shafts will extend 0.563" farther using the urethane bushings. I'm sure this must have some effect on the fit with the frame. I have not tried to assemble yet, figured I would check to see if anyone has used these first.

it will be obvious when attempting to install that poly bushing, if it creates a problem, dimensionally. I don't think it does, lest it's advertised application would be null and invalid. But DO get a second opinion, and research other lower control arm polyurethane bushings in this application.

Following along, I have some of those, eventually I'll be putting them in.

IMO, you will not be happy with those Polyurethane bushings. They will be squeaking in a year and they are clunky when going over bumps and Railroad crossings. I tried them in my Charger and finally got rid of them in favor of the factory style bushings. If you insist on the Poly's you need to leave the old outer sleeve in the control arm. If anyone wants a pair of those polys, let me know. They are slightly used but free.

There have been plenty of complaints on the non rubber lowers over the years. Everything from simple squeaks to the pin sliding back and forth. Personally, I have always just stayed with the rubber.

Check out this video, I thought the ridge on the pivot pin was supposed to be flush with the bushing, but that's not the case.
So that extra "bulb" on the urethane bushing takes up that empty space.

The graphite-impregnated (typically black in color) ones don't really squeak. And I concur, poly all around makes for a too stiff and unfavorable driving experience. But there ARE a few places where the benefits of poly are high, and the consequences low.

Poly in three places adds some good handling, with minimal downside:
+ Upper Control Arm Bushings
+ Front Sway Bar Frame Bushings
+ Front Sway Bar End Link Bushings

I did poly all around on the first (my car) e-body front-end rebuild using poly. It was indeed too stiff, and bumpy. The KYB shocks (later replaced with Monroe) didn't help. It was pretty cool, at first, but I grew weary of the stiffness.

On a second car, (a client b-body) we went with just the three places listed above, this seemed the magic combo.

On a third example, a 318 barracuda convertible car, we likewise did just the three poly locations listed, and again, it felt really good with no discomfort.

In all the examples, the whole front end was rebuilt with Moog parts, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.

I agree. I have the poly in those three places also now on my Charger. The Lower Control arms had the black prothanes like shown in post one. I put the provided grease on them but the right side started squeaking after the first year. I put up with it for a while but didn't care for the harshness going over chuck holes ands such. I swapped in the factory style from Craig at Mobile parts. Much better ride now.
