When your mother cares for you she will protect you with her last breath.
(When your not sure what the arm swing result will be.)
But you know better not to cross her. And you learn to smile and keep your mouth shut. If your don't you will be on the receiving end of the belt to teach you a lesson. RESPECT!
Not that the below would happen . But you know better.
A mother's love can come in all forms.
Then you ask for an allowance. Her response!
I need to teach you a lesson!

You are lucky to have your parents around as you play catch up to their age. As you get older the age gap closes and you understand why most of the time they were right. As my mother will be 90 in June. On mother's day we talked until 2 am the next day. Distance may separate us. But nothing else will!
