Hey everyone,
So recently I was on here trying to buy a set of power window switch connectors so I could modify a set to work with my aftermarket power window kit for my 71 challenger restoration project, it took a bit of time to find someone that was willing to sell theirs from their vehicle that they were parting out, along with the occasional scam or two in the inbox. But upon getting it and working on redesigning them so i could 3d print my own modified version to fit the ring terminals my kit came with(considering the bullet post terminals that were used for these wires I dont seem to be able to find them online), I decided my first step would be to create a model that was identical to the originals before I work on modifying it to suit my needs. However, given my experience trying to find these connectors as nobody remanufacturers them so those of us that need replacements or just flat out need a set for their restoration, I figured I could potentially sell the prints of the original design. On my print I left out the exterior indents as they did not provide any benefit to a 3d printed model, but here are some pictures to showcase the designs compared to the originals. To ensure they survive through any potential heat and UV exposure, Im printing these in ASA white of which has a higher melting/warping temperature and UV resistance compared to regular PLA. Now if you would prefer a different color, if I have said color I can do the print in that color. I simply chose white to somewhat match the originals.
Thanks everyone!
My pricing is as follows:
The full set: 1x Master Switch connector & 3x Single Switch Connectors: $100
1 Master Switch Connector only: $40
1+ Single Switch Connector: $30 ($55 for 2, $70 for 3)
The Originals
The Printed version next to the original Master switch connector and the same for the printed version next to the original single switch connector
And here is showing both the originals and printed versions closed
Here is a close up side by side of the cabling holes showing they match the originals
