I have a stuck Kelsey Hayes KH 89410 proportioning valve on my 73 Challenger. That part is discontinued. I know you can get a rebuild kit but I think the internals on mine are too far gone. I know that they can be rebuilt. I got a quote of $225.00, which seems a little steep. Does anyone have NOS? Is there another proportioning valve that will also work. Any ideas? Tks, Dom

Crude, cheap and effective: Just replace it with union or tee. The rear brakes need the proportioning and all that is needed is an adjustable proportion valve installed into the lines. Oh, so you lose the stupid red light coming on when the brakes fail! You'll know before that stupid light because the pedal goes to the floor and you don't have any brakes!

Otherwise, go to Inline Tube! 🙂

Buy a used one, and source a rebuild kit from Muscle Car Research. New ones are junk, they’re known to leak.
