i recently upgraded to ralley dash with rear defogger panel. i would like to have a toggle switch (simply on/off) in the defogger location… is it possible to use the defogger switch as an on and off switch?? Sorry if dumb question, I’ve never seen the actual switch before.

Thanks for the help guys.. Sooooo, anyone know if the off/high is full connection? I'll explain.. i have a 46rh overdrive transmission that i use a toggle switch to activate by breaking/ connecting ground, i would like to use the defog switch as a toggle switch.. I rigged up a toggle switch and it looks ok but without a bunch of work its not mounted in there great, would like to use stock switch with stock mounting.

Yes. The only thing that determinants the speed is a resistor in line. Remove it and it will be 1 speed any switch will work, if rated for the current. A relay circuit would also work. Scratch out and write in rear defrost.

I second Challenger RTA's suggestion. Using a relay for power and the rear defog switch to "trigger" the relay is always a good idea to take the load off your factory wiring.
