My beautiful convertible spent 5 years in a resto shop, and for some unknown reason they felt the need to put a 3 speaker dash pad in it, when it didn't originally have them! Anyone have any recommendations on a solution to cover the holes? Or maybe a good photo with dimensions I could have someone with a 3-D printer fab?

Thanks for any input or experiences!

Best solution....make them swap it out for the correct one. If they won't, get a pair of the speaker grills to cover the holes.

Agree with moparlee, and the covers are hard to find at a decent price.

I completely agree with moparlee but if its not a high value car...and it won't drive you nuts every time you're in it...three on the dash really helps when topless.

Perhaps they'd be willing to pay the freight for the grills since they own the mistake and it'd probably be cheaper than swapping dashes out. Maybe you could work a deal and buy the wires and speakers as owner betterment and split the labor.

If you can find some one to 3D print the grills it might end up being rather lucrative.

Did they put the dash and the metal frames for the small speakers? If the didn't and you have to buy grills and the frame there about 250$ at the least

How long after the final inspection ( you did do a final before the last check to them?) did you notice the problem and why ask one of us when you are the one with the problem and the resto shop got your money. Go back and insist on them doing what you paid for not what they decided to do. If they had it for 5 years, there is probably a lot more to this story than you are telling us. Have them correct it or take them to court. Simple. Pictures before and after ? Documentation on approved work ?
