T/A HEADS AND ROCKERS!?

His heads are definitely TA heads as the non TA pushrod indent is on his heads. See circle below. Thinking more about it, this 360 could be built up with those heads and more gas pump friendly compression pistons and ~.500" lift camshaft and last basically forever without ever blowing a head gasket!

Yeah I'm trying to decide what I want to do. I could build it but I would want to be conservative with it. My trans and rear end are stout but I would have to really beef up the car to handle a lot of power. 360 block and heads may should stay together

Ball park guess, the 360 with those heads, a .500" lift cam and 9.5:1 pistons (measured) would make about 360 HP and 400 ft-lbs of torque assuming everything was dialed in to work together.

Yes, I agree, the block and heads should stay together since the work done is common to both.

Was thinking about this today. Did you happen to check the 360 block and see if someone added any block filler to the lower water jacket area? A common thing to do along with the O-ring cylinders and machined rocker shaft posts. That would push it more towards a race only combo and not a street engine per se.

No I have not. I will do that. Valid point

Honestly this is getting above my head on things. My brother in law does super stock drag racing. He just started a few years ago. I offered this to him for his 74 duster he runs. He's from up by Brainerd, mn. He said he knows some people that would know more about. I dont what it all would be worth. I don't want to give it away but it would make someone a great deal. I'm just trying to be honest with myself. I don't own a drag car now do I plan to. The funds could be nice to use for upgrades on my 73 challenger
