Any tips for replacing the power steering box in my 70 challenger? I have a new rebuilt unit that I'm going to install.. My car has a 383 with factory exhaust.

i replace mine in a 71 challenger and it was pretty straightforward... just don't forget to bleed the system after it's installed

Look closely for that one spline that’s different on the box and coupler. It can only go on one way. You’ll probably need a puller to take off the pitman arm.

My big worry is that I wont be able to pull the unit without major disassembly. does it come out the top or the bottom?

Whatever way you have more room. Probably the bottom.
