Trouble fitting fan shroud on 26'" aluminum radiator

Working on a 70 challenger 6 pack 440 car. The original rad i tried to get fixed they wanted a fortune to redo so i sold it and bought an aluminum one. First one wouldn't hook up to the shroud so i purchased another one said perfect fit. Had to do work to make it fit in. Bought two new shrouds one a nos it will fit the rad but the fins rub on it. Its so close to the size of the fins i'm afraid when the engine torques a litle bit it will destroy the shroud. This is getting very depressing. Any help would be appreciated.

Forgot im using a 7 blade fan with a fan clutch

Post some pictures of the problem would help.

Need to know the fan diameter, shroud hole diameter. Is the hole in the shroud offset from the fan and engine (up, down, side to side)? Like Steve340 said, "pictures".

I'll get pics friday the fan is 19" and the hole in the shroud is centered
