Visor replacement

I have the original visor mounts and rods and also replacement visors. What I don't get is the latch side where it connects to the rear view mirror. The rod is not long enough to reach to it.
What part(s) am I missing?
I've searched and have found basically nothing on the subject.

EXACTLY! .... thanks so much I knew it would be something like that. Unfortunately I think the previous owner lost/tossed mine....sigh!
