Hey guys,

Which Sealant (See below) would be best for the 4 outside header bolts in the water jacket of my 340? I'm using APP Chromoly Header Stud kit (below) not bolts since the engine is out of the car and it's going back from underneath the car attached to the K-member. Since they aren't aluminum do I still need to use anti-seize to prevent galling? Thanks

I like non-hardening Permatex, been using it over 30 years.

The sealant helps to seal for leakage and corrosion of the studs, not galling since you don't remove them once they are installed unless they have to be removed to do cylinder head repair. Even plumbers pipe dope will work.
