Got to clean up and polish the windshield trim. Had some estimates to have it done, but that kind of money is not in my budget. If any of you have done this yourselves, could you share your experiences.

Thanks,
GC John

I don't believe there are any on the rear trim. Got deep wiper scratches on bottom of front windshield trim.

Since the trim is stainless, if the scratches are very deep they will be difficult to get out. I recommend watching several YouTube videos on polishing stainless and using the sanding process if needed, but be prepared, it is a process!

You will need a bench type polishing wheel that operates at the proper RPM. (A bench grinder will not work), two types of buffing bonnets for the wheel, a couple different types of polishing rouge and about three grades of sandpaper. The more work you do with the sandpaper, the less effort it takes on the wheel.

Also, you can get everything you need to do it yourself at Harbor Freight, or you can pay more and order it from Eastwood.

I did all of my trim myself and it turned out like new!
