Man that sucks. That body damage wouldn't have happened if that GTX wouldn't have been parked outside. There's another one in the background rotting away too:mad:

That is just amazing how a tree grew up between the bumper and trunk. Then this happens!! I have pictures from an old junkyard with similar results.

Both!
How do these gems get neglected for so long?
I better not ask a question like that..., the same thing could happen to me and I would find out exactly HOW! Lol.

Well, I KNOW how this happens. Car is not running, or wrecked, and at the time it is not worth much. So, it sits where it was parked while in the meantime what was junk, now has value. I have a Datsun 240Z shell sitting behind my place. I bought it as a totaled car years ago. I parted it out, and kept the parts that I needed for my Z. Now it is sitting there with weeds, and yes, a tree in the engine compartment. It was never savable to me, but maybe if there was aftermarket parts for Z's like there is for our cars, someone might have wanted to try. Still sad to see a GTX rotting though.

No, another internet find; it just pains me when I see a car is this condition. It does exist somewhere, and in this case, two b-bodies just sitting and rotting!

The Z really is remembered as better car then it actually is in my opinion. The power was not great, but they did rev to the moon. The handling was fair, but my 89 Mustang was better then it on most roads. This Z would of had to have a tube frame of some sort built to make it drivable. Plus my dad tried to move it with his tractor, which bent what few body parts it had let. I was just looking at a few Z's lately, and a project can still be bought for less them $2,000 with some looking. At one time I thought it would be fun to put a Mopar 340, so it would be a 340Z. This was long before they made the new ones. Alas, it never happened, but was fun to think about.
