73 Challenger hood latch ?

I am putting together the front end of my 73 Challenger. The whole front end was apart when I got it and it’s missing pieces. No hood latch and striker. I just bought a latch and bracket from Vans listed for 72-74 but it doesn’t have the provision for the remote release. Has a manual release lever and doesn’t look right. I am looking for some pictures of the correct set up.

This new one is not even close to yours. It has a long release lever and my replacement header panel has the log flat manual lever that I think is supposed to intersect a release piece on the latch. The original header is gone. The remote cable is still there.

Yep, that latch is not available in any listings that I found. They list the one I did get as 70-74. I may be able to cut the lever off and modify it to work with the header lever.

I have the same issue.....seems like all the suppliers list that latch as 70-74......I started installing it today, and quickly realized that there was no way it was going to work on my 72. Dont know if its worth trying to return, or modify it, if you have pics of your mod, I'd like to see it
