hi all i found my fuel line shield i know where it goes question i have is what is the mounting location look like that the hole with the pencil pointing corresponds to i replaced the trunk floor and extensions years ago must have thrown it out thanks for you replies

My 71 is missing this shield. Any chance you could take some measurements of the piece as it looks pretty straightforward to make one. You could take a couple of pictures of it with a ruler next to it and I can figure out all the other measurements based on the pictures. Thanks.

Thank you Cuda Joe for the pictures. Believe it or not, I was going through my shelf of parts to put my car completely back together and found the shield. Crazy

The hole your referring to in the fuel line Vapor shield is for securing the 2nd Vapor line shield that protects the hoses as they pass through the frame rail but it appears to be maybe a 70 only type thing on ECS cars. I found some info on ebodies.org 71 cuda fuel vent lines and vapor line sheild (behind pass rear tire) in Engine, Transmission & Rear End
