Original vs Reproduction Dash Pad

After reading this thread, figured I would check to see what might be available locally here in MN. I am not sure about what the final price will be, but I checked out a local shop called Fibrenew. There website says they "Repair, Re-dye and Renew" automotive, aviation, RV, boat, home and more vinyl, leather and plastics. They have a few local shops in the area, so thought I would check them out. I have reviewed the photos on the website, and while I wouldn't say the results are restoration quality in all cases, they certainly look good enough for what I am looking for in a repaired dash.

I sent a photo of my dash issues, and they responded with an estimate of less that $650!!

Think I am going to give them a shot. They are a mobile service, but since I am just a little out of their normal working area, I asked and he said it would be fine if I wanted to drop it off, since I already have the dash out of the vehicle. I will keep the forum updated once the process is started. Fibrenew Leather Repair, Plastic, Vinyl, Fabric Restoration

I was told the same thing; at least $650. Seems a lot to me for repair on a small area. I asked if that quote was mostly labor or materials. He said "both". For $650, I'll just save a little more and get a complete reman dash.

I suspect it is about the same for most things they can repair in a mobile environment. My dash has several pretty bad issues. Here is the pic I sent the guy at the office here.

Yours needs a lot more work than mine! I’m surprised we got the same quote! I’d say go for it! My damage is minimal (maybe 1”X2.5”)
